Fulton Market: Winter on the West Side
L Stop’s Winter on the West Side Tour showcases the city’s Near West Side via the Green Line. Running during the winter months, this Chicago Walking tour is almost entirely indoors. We’ll kick things off with a donut before we explore the stunning architecture inside the Chicago Cultural Center. From there, we’ll venture into the Chicago pedway, which is a series of subterranean tunnels that crisscross the city as we make our way to the train. We emerge from the pedway inside Macy’s (formerly Marshall Field & Co.) where we’ll view ornate interior design and decor by Tiffany. Next stop, the Green Line.
Once on board, we’ll journey west to the beautiful Garfield Park Conservatory. We’ll then board the Green Line again and head to the West Loop where we’ll explore the Fulton Market district and enjoy some light bites at a contemporary food marketplace. After another brief train ride, we’ll finish our tour by heading back to the Loop for a drink at a cozy, historic pub.
