Purple Line: Evanston & Wrigleyville

While Evanston and Wilmette are not exactly Chicago neighborhoods, they offer a unique perspective that extends beyond Chicago. On this tour, you’ll get a feel for the two beautiful Chicago suburbs nestled on the Lakefront.

We’ll begin our tour at Saint Lou’s Assembly in the West Loop and fuel up with a Bloody Mary and a snack before boarding the Metra train to Evanston. Hopping off the train at Main St in Evanston, we’ll visit two “niche” museums guaranteed to surprise you: the American Toby Jug Museum and Dave’s Rock House.

From there, we’ll take the Purple Line to Linden Station in Wilmette. A short walk from the L station reveals the stunning Baha’i House of Worship – the oldest Baha’i House in the world and the only one on the North American continent. After a peek inside and a tour of the magnificent grounds, we’ll walk by the Wilmette Harbor and make our way back to the train. We’ll travel to Addison St, learn about the history of Wrigleyville (and of course, the Cubs) and top off the tour with a drink at a local bar overlooking beautiful Wrigley Field.
